Did you know that Group Drumming has been shown to reduce anxiety, stress, and depression? And improve anger management, self-evaluation, attention and social emotional skills? Now that’s something to get excited about! And so is our new Group-Drumming protocol for at-risk youth. If you’ve ever wondered what a group drumming class looks like or to see what else is going on at A.R.T.S., click the link below.
We asked A.R.T.S. parents: “Why is A.R.T.S. important for you and your child?”
A grant was recently awarded to A.R.T.S. by The Allstate Insurance Company as part of their commitment to supporting programs and partnerships that empower youth—in their own lives and in their own communities. Through this generous grant, A.R.T.S. is now able to provide after school group drumming classes to at-risk youth, grades 1-8.
The Allstate Corporation (NYSE: ALL) is the nation’s largest publicly held personal lines insurer, protecting approximately 16 million households from life’s uncertainties through auto, home, life and other insurance offered through its Allstate, Esurance, Encompass and Answer Financial brand names. In the 20 years since Allstate became a fully independent public company, The Allstate Foundation, Allstate, its employees and agency owners have donated more than $405 million to support local communities.
The Youth Group Drumming Circle is a new addition to A.R.T.S. programming and was introduced this past fall.
Group drumming has been shown to decrease anxiety and depression and improve anger management, leadership and team building. And it helps kids stay in school!
